Head of Department Message

It is a proud and honoured to welcome you on my behalf and on behalf of my fellow faculty members in the Accounting Department, which was established with the beginnings of the university, the most beautiful welcome with feeling that flow with love and loyalty to this great edifice, which includes a select group of professors specialized in accounting science, with experience and the ability to teach in the master's and bachelor's programs. Which embraces among its pillars a group of Jordanian students and from various Arab countries renewing their pledge of allegiance year after year in order to achieve their success and excellence in all fields to be the hope of the future and the pillar of this nation?

Based on the philosophy of Amman Arab University and its concept of excellence and leadership, which requires us to prepare qualified cadres to meet all the needs of the various economic sectors and the labour market at the local and regional levels, therefore, the Accounting Department focuses in the teaching process on embodiment and organic interdependence between the theoretical and practical aspects, the Accounting Department also seeks to keep pace with scientific and professional developments through continuous development of curricula, whether for the bachelor’s stage or for the master’s stage taking into account the requirements of the labour market, with the purpose of preparing qualified competencies to work in the field of accounting and this important and influential field in the economy in order to achieve our vision for the future we want and our mission and values on which we are based) credibility, renewal, innovation, and social responsibility
 

About the Department

The Accounting Department at the College of Business at Amman Arab University sought to excel in the field of accounting knowledge, and to supply the labour market with specialists in the fields of financial accounting, and costs, management, auditing and accounting information systems, as this department seeks to provide scientific and practical qualification for bachelor’s and master’s students. It also looks forward to more cooperation with scientific and professional organizations in the field of academic specialization.                                                                                                                                    

The Accounting Department aims to prepare students and prepare them to work in various accounting jobs by creating an intellectual environment that enables students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to practice the accounting profession in the public and private sectors.

Vision

Entrepreneurship and excellence in teaching, learning and scientific research in the accounting profession and legal legislation locally and regionally. 

Mission

Preparing scientifically qualified staff supported by the knowledge and skills of accounting, legal and commercial legislation and professional ethics to work in all areas of business organizations, to meet the needs of the local and regional community, in accordance with local and international quality criteria.

Accounting Major Bachelor’s Program


Program Mission:

Providing distinguished academic programs in accounting supported by knowledge, skills and professional ethics through qualified staff capable of keeping pace with local and international standards in accordance with the e-learning inclusion criteria.

Educational Program Objectives:

  1. Promoting alumni's knowledge in the accounting profession, general knowledge and the use of technology in the field of accounting.
  2. Developing specialized theoretical and applied skills in the field of the accounting profession and link them to the requirements of the labor market.
  3. Promoting students' skills and abilities to diagnose problems and help decision makers in the field of the accounting profession.
  4. Directing students to adapt with environmental changes and professional and ethical values in the field of accounting.
  5. Developing teaching staff capable of keeping pace with technologies in the field of education.


Educational Program Outcomes:
The expected outcomes of this program are preparing graduates competent in:

  1. Understanding the key areas of accounting.
  2. Clarifying knowledge and concepts related to accounting.
  3. Applying international financial reporting standards and internal control through the professional ethics system.
  4. Analyzing of financial statements using quantitative methods.
  5. Evaluating the validity of financial statements in business organizations.
  6. Implementing the income and sales tax law on individuals and institutions.

Program Mission:

  5. Developing and promoting scientific research, seminars and other practical and scientific activities of faculty members and students.
  6. Developing teaching staff capable of keeping pace with technologies in the field of education.

  6. Finding solutions to contemporary accounting problems.
