Amman Arab University Awarded Prestigious International Grant from University of Wisconsin-Madison

In its continuous efforts to expand international relations and enhance its academic reputation globally, Amman Arab University announced that Dr. Mohammad Mufid Sehwail - Director of the International Office and External Relations and Head of the Civil Engineering Department - has been awarded a prestigious grant funded by the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the United States (ranked 56th globally). Notably, Amman Arab University is the only private university in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to receive this competitive grant for 2025, further solidifying its position among leading academic institutions in the region.

The grant aims to support academic visits to New York University (NYU, ranked 33rd globally) and Rutgers University (ranked within the 301–350 global category). These visits seek to enhance Amman Arab University's academic standing, improve the quality of its Civil Engineering program, and advance efforts toward obtaining prestigious international accreditations. Additionally, the visits will explore new research opportunities and adopt advanced methods for curriculum development and teaching methodologies to align programs with modern labor market demands and increase employment rates.

Dr. Sehwail's visits will also contribute to expanding Amman Arab University's international network and establishing new collaborative channels in the Americas. This initiative aligns with the university's strategic direction under the leadership of its President, Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, toward forging sustainable partnerships and capacity-building projects.
