Amman Arab University as an Active Participant in the Public Security Directorate’s Scientific Competition
Under the patronage of Brigadier General Anwar Al-Tarawneh, Assistant Director of Public Security for Operations and Training, and in line with Amman Arab University’s motto of leadership and excellence, as well as the directives of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of the University, Amman Arab University participated in the second Academic Scientific Competition organized by the Public Security Directorate. This event aligns with the Directorate’s strategy to develop and enhance scientific research skills among its personnel.
Representing Amman Arab University in judging the competition were Dr. Mahmoud Abu Jumaa, a faculty member in the Business Faculty, who chaired one of the judging sessions reviewing scientific research papers presented by Public Security officers holding PhD and Master’s degrees, and Dr. Fahad Al-Kasasbeh, a faculty member in the Faculty of Law, who served as a member of the judging committee. The event was attended by several high-ranking officers.
The competition featured discussions of participants' research papers across three specialized scientific sessions held at the Royal Police Academy. Winners of the second edition of the Academic Scientific Competition were honored, along with the judging committees, which included a select group of academics, specialists, and experts, as well as several officers from the security apparatus. Winners in specialized scientific fields addressing various security aspects were also recognized after presenting high-quality, innovative research that reflected a high level of professionalism and analytical thinking, in appreciation of their efforts in evaluating the papers and contributing to the success of the competition.
The competition aims to promote a culture of scientific research within the security sector, encourage participants to develop their research and critical thinking skills, discover and nurture talents, contribute practical solutions to security challenges, and facilitate the exchange of expertise among participants—all of which fosters an environment of excellence and innovation in both academic and practical fields.
This participation reflects the ongoing support of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, who places great emphasis on strengthening the university’s academic presence across various national sectors, particularly the security sector, and encouraging faculty members to engage in meaningful research and community initiatives.
