Memorandum of Understanding between the Royal Botanical Garden and Amman Arab University

Amman - In the presence of Her Highness Princess Basma bint Ali, founder of the Royal Botanical Garden, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Amman Arab University, Dr. Omar Al-Jazi, the Botanical Garden and Amman Arab University concluded a memorandum of understanding in the field of scientific research and training. The memorandum was signed by the Royal Botanical Garden, its Director General, Engineer Mohammed Shahbz, and the University's president, Prof. Mohamed Al-Widyan.

Her Highness said that the existing cooperation between the Royal Botanic Garden and the Arab University of Amman represents a model in the fields of scientific research and training and embodies the meanings of participation and social responsibility.Her Highness praised the distinguished level reached by the university in various fields and scientific research in particular.

For his part, Dr. Al-Jazi stressed that the University has achieved great achievements through its distinguished journey in promoting the concept of social responsibility and building bridges of cooperation with local communities, specifically the Ain Al-Basha Brigade and Baqa'a camp. In turn, Prof. Al-Widyan said that the signing of the memorandum of understanding falls within the university's objectives of opening up to national institutions in the field of scientific research, training and exchange of experiences, pointing out that the Royal Botanical Garden represents the appropriate environment to provide university students with more knowledge and skills in the field of preserving the national heritage.
