Amman - Prof. Mohamed Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, received a delegation from the Jordanian-American Committee for Educational Exchange, the Fulbright program including of Ms. Iman Abdul Wahid, Deputy Director of the Fulbright Program Office, Ms. Rana Al-Anani and Mr. Nasser Al-Malkawi, in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Sahwil, Director of the International Office and External Relations, and Mr. Waddah Mismar, Director of the Media and Public Relations Department at the University.

During the meeting, they presented aspects of cooperation between the University and the Jordanian-American Commission for Educational Exchange, Prof. Al-Widyan stressed the importance of the University's constant endeavor to enhance cooperation and partnerships with various educational institutions and the role of international programs in promoting student exchange and enriching scientific research at the University by taking advantage of opportunities to qualify faculty members and students at distinguished universities.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the delegation held an introductory workshop on the Fulbright program for faculty members and University students. Al-Malkawi presented an overview of the Fulbright Foundation and its programs in Jordan since its establishment in 1994. The Jordanian Programs Officer Al-Anani also briefed the Fulbright programs available to students who wish to complete the graduate stage (master's) In the United States of America, in addition to opportunities for scientific exchange for faculty members with American universities, and presented the mechanism for submitting applications and the conditions that must be met by the applicant for scholarships and their dates.

During the workshop, Dr. Sahweel pointed out the importance of these lectures to introduce faculty members and students to the international institutions funding research projects and scientific and cultural exchange, and that the International Office and External Relations was established to be the university's window to the local and international community.
