Amman Arab University Obtains Institutional Quality Assurance Certificate
In a new qualitative achievement for Amman Arab University, the Council of the Higher Education Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, in its session No. (49/2021), held on 12/15/2021, by Resolution No. (888/49/2021), headed by Prof. Dhafer Al-Sarayrah, Chairman of the Commission, took a decision By granting Amman Arab University a certificate of institutional quality assurance.
On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Omar Mashhour Al-Jazi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Amman Arab University, congratulated the university family in general, and the team of the Planning and Quality Assurance Department, in particular, for obtaining a quality assurance certificate. At the university, and all the supporting administrative units, expressing his pride, pride, and appreciation for this distinguished academic achievement, stressing at the same time that this important step comes in the context of the strategic plan set by the university since its establishment. Based on its vision as a distinguished university in education and scientific research and effective in building a knowledge society, the university always seeks continuous improvement and development through obtaining academic accreditations and participating in local and international classifications, which aims within its policies to raise academic and research performance and community service.
In turn, Prof. Mohamad Al-Widyan, the president of the University, stressed that obtaining the university’s quality assurance certificate at the University level is a support for the process of improvement and a continuation to spread the culture of quality assurance as a daily practice in all academic and administrative units at the university, and a strategic choice made by the university with the aim of development and modernization thanks to unparalleled support from the Board of Directors, the Board of Trustees, and the continuous work of the quality team at the university, believing in the University’s vision, mission, values, goals and objectives, and this achievement constitutes an introduction and an important step for later involvement in the field of international accreditation and progress in global rankings, and added: We take the opportunity to extend our thanks and gratitude to the Education Accreditation Authority High for their continued support and to the panel of experts for their professionalism and dedication during their tenure.
For his part, Dr. Hossam Al-Hamad, Assistant to the President for Planning and Quality Assurance, stated that this prestigious academic achievement demonstrates the advanced level of quality of the educational process at the university and its outputs. Which is reflected positively on university graduates and contributes directly to finding suitable job opportunities for them. He also pointed out that this achievement could not have been achieved except thanks to the efforts of the college and administrative staff, which the university always seeks to attract distinguished among them.
It should be noted that Amman Arab University was able to fulfill all the standards and requirements necessary to obtain the institutional quality assurance certificate, which ensures the quality of the educational and research process for its students and better involvement of the local community, which contributes to the readiness of its graduates to engage in the labor market and in addition to other international certificates such as ISO 2001, In addition to an ambitious plan to obtain international accreditations for all of its programs.
