Amman Arab University Delivers Lecture on Cybersecurity and AI for Abu Nseir Secondary School Students

As part of its ongoing commitment to community engagement and knowledge-sharing, Amman Arab University organized an informative lecture titled "Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence: Bridging Education and the Job Market" for students at Abu Nseir Mixed Secondary School. The session was delivered by Dr. Manar Mazhar, Head of the Cybersecurity Department, and Dr. Diala Ibrahim, a faculty member at the University’s College of Information Technology, under the supervision of School Principal Ms. Lana Zayed and coordinated by Computer Science Teacher Ms. Sabreen Fawatreh.

During the lecture, the speakers explored the concepts of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, emphasizing their growing importance across various sectors and their role in shaping the technological revolution. They also discussed current and future career opportunities in both fields, outlining the academic pathways available at universities and the essential skills needed to thrive in these competitive, tech-driven job markets—particularly in areas like modern technology, national security, and AI. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, where the lecturers addressed the students’ inquiries.

Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Rami Sahwil, Dean of the College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University, highlighted the value of leveraging faculty expertise to benefit the local community. He noted that such efforts align with the University’s broader mission to support and collaborate with community institutions through knowledge exchange and outreach programs.
