Amman Arab University for Graduate Studies is a quality education institution of higher studies. It is primarily based on the conviction that teaching should be student-centered whereby learners become producers, rather than mere recipients of knowledge. Hence, memorization should give place to a methodology centering on critical thinking, innovation and scholarly research of a high caliber. The founders of this University are determined to make it a non-conventional center of excellence in Jordan and in the Arab world with the view of graduating students who can contribute qualitatively to the progress and advancement of our societies.

This University has also taken upon itself to be a vehicle for the fulfillment of its students' potentialities and a catalyst in ushering a new academic environment that emphasizes intellectual freedom, dialogue, and respect of the views of others. To further this orientation, it shall adopt strict and rigorous quality assurance and control scheme for all the facets of its academic specializations and programmes as well as its administrative apparatus and activities. Moreover, postgraduate studies at the University will be undertaken in a manner designed to cater for the requirements and demands of the Jordanian economy. To realize this objective, plans are underway for forging future co-operation with the public and the private sectors within the context of a true partnership between the academic and the business community, with the target of adapting to the changing knowledge needs. In this way, research in this institution will be an integral part of the country's developmental polices and strategies. To bolster this trend, the University places premium on research that has practical applications and deemed beneficial to economic plans and growth.

The board of trustees, on its part, will see to it that all duties and responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the principles of accountability and transparency. Simultaneously, it shall also ensure  that the University is provided with all financial and human resources it needs, and that it always beeps up with the highest international standards.
