Omani Higher Education Delegation Reviews the Achievements of “Amman Arab University” and Looks Forward to Enhancing Academic Cooperation
President of Amman Arab University, Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, received a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation (Department of Recognition and Equivalency of Qualifications) in the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, which included: Mr. Al-Nasr bin Nasser Al-Ruqaishi/Director of the Department of Recognition and Equivalency of Qualifications, and Mr. Abdullah bin Salem Al-Badi/ Head of the Recognition Department of Higher Education Institutions, accompanied by the Acting First Secretary of the Cultural Department at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Jordan, Salem Al-Wahaibi, and Dr. Abdullah Obaidat/ Head of the Academic Department at the Omani Cultural Mission.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Assistant of the President for Academic Affairs, Professor. Ismail Yamin, Assistant of the President for Planning and Quality Assurance, Dr. Husam Al-Hamad, Assistant of the President for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Mrs. Nadia Al-Qadimat, and Dr. Miteb Al-Otaibi, Chairman of the Committee for Attracting Students Coming from the Gulf Countries, Prof.Al-Widyan pointed out the importance of the relationship that linking the two brotherly countries and the importance of deepening these relations in various fields, specifically the fields of higher education and scientific research, and facilitating all matters related to the study of Omani students in Jordanian universities in general and Amman Arab University in particular.
During the meeting, Prof. Al-Widyan gave a comprehensive explanation about Amman Arab University and all the programs offered at it for bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and about the University’s achievements in all fields, and about the partnerships and international accreditations at the university, and the global rankings that the university has reached. Prof. Al-Widyan also presented a vision of the future objectives of Amman Arab University that can be achieved through the efforts of all university employees, including faculty members and administrative staff.
In turn, the members of the Omani delegation praised the educational outcomes and academic integrity achieved by Amman Arab University, the cultural diversity that the university enjoys from different nationalities of students, and the university’s ability to facilitate the integration of students into the university environment. The delegation expressed its admiration for the increase in the number of students enrolled at Amman Arab University. in recent years, and the distinguished colleges and majors offered at the university, specifically the colleges and specializations that Amman Arab University is unique in offering, such as: aviation sciences major, digital marketing, data science and artificial intelligence at the bachelor’s level, in addition to unique majors at the master’s level, such as: strategic management in the College of Business, arbitration and commercial dispute resolution in the College of Law, and pharmacovigilance and regulatory affairs in the College of Pharmacy.
