“Amman Arab University” Launches the STEP Project for Vocational Training and Education

Under the patronage of Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, the STEP program for vocational training and education was launched at the University’s Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center on Sunday, 4/21/2024, implemented by the Business Development Center - BDC in cooperation with Spark, and funded by the Islamic Development Bank, and the Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair Refugee Education Fund, which targets graduating students and those expected to graduate, in addition to Jordanians and refugees who hold UNHCR cards.

In this regard, Dr. Samer Ayasrah, Director of the Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Amman Arab University, said that the program provides training on the skills required in the labor market for a month, and then training within the work environment in various sectors for a period of 3 months. The participant also obtains a certificate of participation after completing the requirements. Training and an experience certificate from the entity through which the training will be received in the private sector.

It is worth noting that Amman Arab University is among five universities chosen to be part of this important program, as the Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University works to create opportunities and build bridges of communication with graduate students and try to create employment opportunities for them and provide them with the necessary skills required for the labor market.
