Procurement Department
The Procurement Department was established in 1999 simultaneously with the establishment of the University itself and it is basically responsible for providing all supplies, equipment, and consumables through direct purchase, purchase committees, or competitive bidding. It is duty to ensure that all products purchased are in conformance with Delivery specifications and that record of all the above activities are maintained properly.
The Department keeps records for all items in the employees' personal custody and uses forms as reasonably necessary to organize and facilitate its operations. It runs warehouses and maintains adequate inventory system, and keeps stores of staple commodities to supply current needs. It is also responsible for overseeing the University buildings, furniture, equipment and facilities, securing maintenance and ensuring usability.
The Department functions are governed by the Supplies and Works Regulations of Amman Arab University for Graduate Studies issued pursuant to item (m) of Article (9) of the Jordanian Private Universities Law No. (43) for the year (2001).
