Accreditation and Quality Assurance Department
The Accreditation and Quality Assurance Department is charged with the following :
· To pursue the implementation of the rules , regulations , instructions , standards , and decisions released by the Council for Higher Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
· To create a database for the University encompassing the following :
§ Colleges , programs and plans of study
§ Faculty
§ Students
§ Administrative staff
§ Departments
§ Centers
§ Facilities
§ Campus
· To prepare statistic statements related to general and specific accreditation and demonstrating the extent to which these statements are in compliance with the accreditation standards.
· To look into the decisions of the accreditation committees and discussing them with the President.
· To review the organizational structure of the University and recommending, if necessary, the creation of new departments.
With respect to quality assurance, the department is charged with the following responsibilities :
· To measure the extent to which the University's goals and mission are in compliance with accreditation and quality standards.
· To maintain continuous planning to achieve the goals and mission of the University.
· To continuously plan and evaluate programs and study plans offered by the University, and to measure the extent to which they comply with quality standards with the aim of preparing competent students capable of conducting scientific research and developing their professional skills.
· To pursue the appointment of highly qualified faculty who meet quality standards and are well-known for their scientific research and instructional excellence.
· To oversee and develop student services through qualified staff, and explicit policies and procedures designed to help students achieve their aims.
· To conduct holistic self-evaluation of the University including faculty, staff, and councils.
· To assert the University's commitment to the professional and moral standards in all its procedures for dealing with students.
· To support the educational environment through providing materials and equipment that assist students in conducting research.
