College of Computer Science and Informatics
Mission and Goals:
The Graduate College of Computer Science and Informatics was established by a decision from the University Council Pursuant to the provisions of the Articles of Association of the University for 2001.
Admission to the three levels of the computing programs (Higher Diploma, Masters, and Doctoral) began as of the start of the first semester of the academic year 2002/2003.
Philosophy
The College Policies and goals are governed by the philosophy upon which Amman Arab University was founded .The University was mainly designed to be a modern academic institution with a very distinctive mission. The college of Computer Science and Informatics therefore, in harmony with the University's philosophy places much emphasis on respect for the mind and scientific thinking, commitment to the principles of ethics, truthfulness and integrity. The college also believes that legitimate competition is the gateway to progress and advancement in all fields. Simultaneously, the College stands against all forms of behavioral and institutional misconduct.
Goals:
The college aims to perform the functions of the University in its fields of specialization, namely: education, research and community service. It seeks to meet the need of Jordanian and Arab societies for highly academically and professionally qualified and distinguished leaders in the field of Computing .The programs and study plan are designed to prepare students of all levels (Higher diploma, Masters, and Doctoral) to work efficiently in a varied range of institutions (financial, diplomatic, military, medical, etc), in addition to working in the academic sphere. The college is also concerned with research in the fields of the cutting edge of computer science and information technology. It supports faculty and students to conduct researches that are beneficial to humanity and essential for realizing the desired scientific progress.
